XenoWars is a "new style" game that combines the fun of the real-time strategy (RTS) game and the traditional match 3 puzzle game.
Your mission is to protect your castle against your enemy and to eventually defeat your enemy.
In order to do so, you need to collect Mana and produce Units.
You can also gather Gold and upgrade your Units to deal with your increasingly-powerful enemy.
Plus, Action Points (AP) can be gained to let your Units use special skills.
These resources (Mana, Gold, and Action Point) can be earned by solving the match 3 puzzle.
The game ends if the Health Points (HP) of your castle drop down to zero.

How to Win!
1. Make use of various different Units and upgrade them. You can't win by producing a couple of strong Units.
2. Very little Mana is provided in the beginning of the game. Wipe out Blue-tone blocks to collect Mana, and upgrade Mana Pool to the highest level.
3. Enemies attack in waves from the start. So produce defense Units as you collect Mana.
4. Melee Units have high Health Points (HPs) and high attack power. Ranged Units have lower HPs and lower attack power, but can attack multiple Enemy Units from a distance. You can deploy Melee Units at the front and Ranged Units at the back.
Ranged Units: Gunner, Mage, Elemental, Angel
5. Special Attacks have 12 times higher attack power.
6. Upgrade Mana Pool as fast as you can while maintaining the defense force. The higher the Mana level is, the more Units you can produce.

Wow this game is alot fun...99 cents cant be beat!
I bought the game earlier, and let me tell you its leaps and bounds better then cartoon wars, now im not knocking cartoon wars its a awsome game but the match 3 puzzle element just makes this, I like when you run out of moves it resets the blocks for you when your outta moves...
Brilliant method of getting mana / gold / ap points. The red blocks do damage to enemies on the field there is alot of strategy and timing of when to match the blocks.
in an update i recommend custom sountrack options, more units is a must, maybe make the match 3 game have bad blocks too if you bust em you take damage as well maybe blackblocks or something. I would add more enviroments to fight on so its not the same stage over and over again like night and day maybe some weather like a rain effect or something. Just keep adding to the formula you are onto a winner here...

This game is a great time-waster and is definitely worth $0.99. The Puzzle mode is great, it helps you gain mana in great numbers. This game is a must-buy for fans of cartoon wars and the wars. The game runs very smooth an runs perfectly on my ipod Touch 2nd Gen. With unlimited unit upgrades, auto-firing archers, a wide variety of enemies and units, and polished graphics, there is no doubt this game is a keeper. 5 stars.
