Overall, a great kart game.
Ever since Mario and his pals battled it out on the Super Nintendo in Mario Kart, it seems that every franchise known to man has at one time or another attached itself to a kart racing game. For the most part, each one is essentially the same gameplay, rehashed with new artwork. This is no exception... however, it's actually a good game as long as you're not expecting anything new. The biggest draw to this title is its multiplayer option, which includes up to six players over wifi or bluetooth. That could translate to some good fun. I have yet to actually try the multiplay as my friends are too cheap to buy it. It is a bit on the expensive side for an iPhone game, but there's a fair amount of tracks and characters to choose from, so you don't feel completely ripped off.
My main complaint about the game is the absence of character voices. The game feels a bit "unofficial" without them, and a light banter (not a constant barrage) would give the game a lot more charm. After all, part of that price we pay is for the Shrek licensing, so I have to take a full star for that.
Overall, a great retread of a familiar and beloved genre wth a pefect slapstick cast to go along with it... just needs a bit more personality to be worth the price tag.
Worth the price
This game is worth the price for the amount of fun you'll have with it. I've been loving every minute of it and the characters are fantastic!

I love racing games with characters I can recognize. This is a very fun game and its great for any age.
