Outside is a visual weather forecast with custom push notifications like you’ve never seen before.
Outside combines current weather and local forecasts with custom push notifications. Look out the window and see what the weather is like through stunning visuals. Swipe the days to see the forecasts, or setup and receive alerts when the weather is just right.
With our optional custom push notifications you can have Outside alert you of certain weather situations. It’s easy and fun to set up your very own notifications. Have Outside wake you up in the morning and tell you if you’re going to need an umbrella for work today. Outside monitors the local weather and tells you when it’s going to rain. You can also monitor UV levels – or how about setting up a cold weather notification, reminding you when it’s time to slip on the big overcoat?
We have weather data from around the world, so that you are always served fresh-off-the-observatory local forecasts, relevant to you.

Outside comes with a free 30 days notification subscription; it's easy (and dirt cheap) to buy additional months (90 or 300 days) from within the app. Please check "Top In App Purchase" for the fee in your local currency. Extending your notification subscription is a single fee that covers all the notification types as well as future notification types. Please note that push notification is optional and Outside works perfectly without push notification should you just want to use the forecast.
The subscription is only for push notification, and is not required to use Outside for forecasts.

If you wish to temporarily test a notification, please set the time to at least 15 minutes ahead, to allow enough time for the server to fetch weather information for your location and process the notification.

Welcome to Outside 1.1! Here are all the wonderful new things in this version:
✔ Multiple Locations! Manage your locations and where you get your notifications from in the new pull down Locations menu on the Home screen.
✔ 5 Day Forecasts. Swipe right on Current Weather Condition to see a 5 day overview. Tap the forecast to jump to that day.
✔ Completely revamped Message system.
✔ When temperature is above 68ºF or 20ºC in Current Weather Condition the coffee cup changes to a Glass of Lemonade. ;)
✔ Sleep mode disabled and Outside now auto updates weather every hour if left on. (For your dock viewing pleasure)
✔ Notification icon clock hands now shows actual time.

Good start, but could be better
So, I have to admit, I was really excited about this app coming out. I like the interface and the graphics are amazing. Two things I am not the hugest fan of. One, you can only input one place at a time and it doesn't save places you input. So every time you want to change to another place, you have to reenter that place. Secondly, you have to pay a subscription for notifications if you want to get them all the time. Granted it is only .99 cents per notification every 3 months, but if you want all the notifications, you are going to pay an extra $4 every 3 months. You can choose to not receive them if you like. So that is why the 3 stars. I like what the app does, looks sweet, but falls short in a couple of areas.
Decent app. Poor disclosure.
App is decent, not sth which makes it outstanding weather machine is more artsy, accu weather more focused this lies in between. That said one star for not disclosing prominently that for continued subscription if push notification you have to pay 99 cents a month. At that price I regret wasting my $2. My
Outside weather app? Well, it's OK.
Such hype. Well where is the hourly weather? For cycling planning, these are important weather planning features. GUI is just window dressing.
