Car accident? Injured, while hiking up in the mountains? Have you been in such crisis situations? You should always be prepared. Our Rescue Kit can help you! In fact, it should be installed in the iPhone of every driver, hiker, mountain climber or traveler.
This application was developed due to a personal experience. While I was driving on a side road in a rural area, I was witness to a car accident. My companion and I called the 112 emergency number. But how could we tell the ambulance our exact location? In emergencies, every second counts. That is why we created the Rescue Kit application - to help you in crisis situations like these.
=== Car accident or accident in the mountains? ===
It is not always easy to describe the exact location of an accident to emergency operators. Currently, in most countries emergency personnel are using GPS to find the locations of reported accidents. So the best thing you can do, is to give emergency personnel the exact GPS coordinates of the accident's location. This is where the Rescue Kit comes in. At the tap of a single button it displays your current GPS position. You can display different formats of GPS coordinates just by clicking on them. Not only that – but it also shows your location on a map, including the names of the town and the street you are on (when it is used in a developed area).
=== Emergency flashlight ===
Your car has a mechanical breakdown, and you have to wait by yourself on the highway for help to arrive. Or there might come a time when you need to walk alongside the road at night. Sometimes you are caught in the middle of these situations. It is not easy for drivers to spot pedestrians on the road when it is already dark. Use our emergency flashlight to call attention to yourself. Just select your preferred color and activate it.
This emergency flashlight is also very useful for other crucial actions during an emergency – for example can you use it to signal a rescue helicopter to your current position.
=== SOS flashlight ===
Although it might seem incredible, there are still places without cell phone coverage. In such locations, the international SOS Morse code, which has already been in use for more than 100 years, is your only option. Today, it is the most well-known signal all across the world. If you get caught in an emergency during the night, activate your SOS flashlight and signal towards the direction from which help will most likely arrive.
=== Traffic flashlight ===
Road accidents usually cause traffic jams, especially at night. By using this flashlight, you can help ease the traffic situation by signaling cars to stop or go. While this is indeed police work, it may take some time for the police to arrive when there is a road accident. In the meantime you can help direct traffic using nothing but your iPhone.
=== Call 112 (911 in USA) ===
This is a very simple functionality, and perhaps you are wondering, why anyone would need an application to call this well-known number. When you are near the scene of an accident or, more importantly, when you are personally involved in one, chances are you will not be calm and you may not be thinking straight. In many accidents, the victims cannot even remember a short number like 112 or 911. So it is better to simply run this application on your iPhone at just the click of a button.

We (sincerely) hope you will never have any accidents, and we would be glad if you do not ever need to use this kind of application... But – you can never know - it is always better to be prepared for any situation.
