Lo-mob brings lo-fi and photographic experimentations to your mobiles pictures.
Have you ever experiment with your old analog cameras? Have you put a 35mm film in a medium format body? Have you ever tried to achieve Through The Viewfinder (TTV) photography by shooting a picture with a camera through the viewfinder of another? Do you just love to stick you eye in the viewfinder of an old medium format body? Have you tried to deconstruct an instant picture, ripping off its frame to keep only the film? Do you prefer sometimes the subtle colors rendering of an outdated film from an old camera than an perfect picture? Are grain, noise, oversaturation, scratches and frames meaningful to you?
Do you just love your iPhone because it's the perfect toy to play with pictures? Do you often take a picture and try to treat it in various iPhone softwares?

Lo-mob will propose you to chose or take one picture, and will process it for you. You'll be then presented with the preview of the more than 25 Lo-mob effects.
Choose one to preview it, be back to the list in just a click to chose another.
Once your choice made, save the file in high definition back to your iPhone, or share it over Twitter, or Facebook.

* So 3GS is supported. You can now export to the maximum resolution handled by your phone. However an iPhone is not a desktop computer : large 3MPixels images are painfull to process for the device, it may sometimes be a bit long to export a full resolution image to the phone.
** Application remains the same on iPod Touch than on iPhone, except you can’t take pictures (big news) and the app won’t propose you to email the picture right away. You can still post it on Twitter, Picasa etc…

Could develop into something
This is a good start, for sure. BUT, need to allow the user control over the cropping of the images. It would be really nice to be able to adjust the position of the image within the borders. Also would be nice to be able to control the extent of the effect. Sliders for hue, saturation, contast, etc.
How about a choice on the resolution?
Hope these ideas make it into an update!
Need higher resolution 3gs users beware
Really great app, but like so many other apps - including the venerable camerabag the resolution doesn't support the 3gs!
A few apps do: best camera, lomo, etc. This one does not.
In the settings you just have a "max" setting and do the detection in the app. Check stackoverflow.com on how to do this there is already a thread.

Lo-mob is really nice!
I love to view all the thumbs at once and the polaroid frames are neat
Can you add a feature to disable the calculation of the thumbs? Because now I know the effects I like the most.
