Good but not quite worth it.

This game is the story of a guy who wakes up in a inn and finds himself carrying out the deeds of many people in the town that can be found near Castle Ravenguard. His adventures lead him to having to save the town from evil. Anyway the game is okay. I saw it hoping to buy it and find myself in a large explorable world with multiple towns and cities. Though the world is explorable, it's also rather small with only one tiny town. The game has three shops, a place to buy food (health), a blacksmith (weapons/armor), and a magic store (basically another blacksmith). There's also a gambling game where you shoot arrows at targets for money. The first problem I found with it was it's lack of customization and lack of weapons. There is 2 swords, a club, a dagger, a bow, 2 types of armor and 2 types of arrows. The map in my opinion was tiny and there's no mini map which can make it difficult to find where you need to be. The game takes about 2 hours to complete (unlike the 6 hours that the ge developers say) and 45 minutes of that is just playing the gambling game so you can get good enough weapons. You can ride a horse in the game, but only in one tiny section of it where you have to caddle sheep back into a pen for some guy. The game is lagging of some major things like magic. If you like spells and things like this, there really isn't any, all the magic you are going to get is arrows that explode. I wouldn't call this an RPG either because you won't find yourself making any desicions which impact the plot. Another thing that bothered me is you never fight humans. Just various mythological creatures. There is some things they did right though. The controls are nice and easy to use, and the graphics are nice as well. The music and sound in general is very well done and the game never crashed on me.

The Pros:
Good controls
Nice graphics
Nice sound
No crashing

The Cons:
Lack of customization
Lack of weaponry
Lack of armor
Small world
2 hours to complete
No magic
No decision making
No fighting humans

The Verdict:
The game is okay. It's not worth the 6.99 price. The price should be in the 1.99 range.

Not worth $7.00

I know you can't expect a lot from an iPhone/iPod game, but this game was a let down. There are only around 13 (give or take) monsters in the entire game (skeleton ogre, wolf, bear, spider, goblin, imp, boar, and lizard) and a couple of huge monsters that you can only kill with a bow but are extremely easy because you can trap them behind objects and your arrows can travel through trees, ect. so you just shoot until they are dead. I didn't even know there was a "main quest" until I looked the game up online. The areas are very small and very few, there are two armor sets, leather and steel but there is no huge difference in their appearance. The side quests are dissapointing because they are mostly just going and killing a certian amount of a monster for little reward. You could finish the game in an hour if you wanted. Not worth seven bucks, try three and it's worth it.

Ehh

I really wanted to like this game. The preview trailers looked great.

The controls are poor, when you are attacked from the side or rear you cannot turn to parry and can easily be killed by a ra or boart The quests are often dull, shooting down hives and running to the pond to escape the bees is dumb, boring and tedious. Very weak item descriptions, poor menu interface, no skill tree, no character customization, shallow plot, unthrilling combat, no magic. This is not for real RPGers.

There is a A LOT of potential though. I hope something really good comes from this!
