Awesome
After seeing that this App has been redone to make better use of the iPads screen, I finally decided to buy the App.
It's great to have the ability to watch your favorite driver on the map and not be restricted to the information you get on the tv.
The app allows you to watch any past sessions of the season and you can also use a slider to go to any spot in the session. This is especially great when watching a replay on tv.
However, if it wasn't for the special layout created for the iPad, I would not be as happy with the pricy purchase as I am now. I've also tried the app on the iPhone after trying it on the iPad, and the extra space you get on the iPad creates a much, much better experience than on the smaller iPhone screen.
I would recommend this App to anyone who's into F1 and has an iPad; not sure if I would recommend it for the iPhone only.
Can't pause or rewind when live event is running
Huge flaw. Speed live is running about ten minutes behind app during live events, and *you can't delay the app*. Normally you can control playback, but apparently the doesn't work while any event is actually happening.
Unacceptable. Don't pay until this is fixed.
great app.. a little expensive
Love the app!!! Used it in 2009 and bought the latest 2010 version. Some have commented about app not running at the rate as broadcast or being behind after a commercial break. I had the same issue until I really looked at the app and noticed it can be paused, rewound, or moved forward using the strip just opposite the lap countdown. I use it to resync timing after commercial breaks, syncing the start etc. and it works fine.
The sector timing is awesome and allows me to see who is really running great laps, where they're loosing time etc. Can't wait to experience it on iPad
