A new artist from San Francisco, K. Flay is a Stanford-educated rapper/producer who's built a huge buzz thanks to her shows with fellow hype-rider Theophilus London, an appearance on Carson Daly’s show, and a full plate of festival gigs (Bonnaroo, Paid Dues, Governors Ball, SXSW). Eyes Shut is her latest EP release, following a slew of small-run projects like I Stopped Caring in '96, Mashed Potatoes, and F*ck and Run. Her style is a blog-friendly mix of simple goofy raps, distorted electronics, and indie rock–style hooks, more akin to Peaches or Princess Superstar than Roxanne Shanté or Sha Rock.
