Somehow an 80's video game lost its soundtrack
I like it, makes me feel like i am in a macabre, 80's disco roller rink. Dark and and "Tronish" , very binary.
Solid release
I got into Kavinsky through his being on Record Makers with some pretty great French musicians - Damien, Sebastien Tellier, and Arpanet. Kavinsky's hard pounding signature style is unmistakable.. he doesn't slow down or get lazy on any track. That's what I like best about his new release 1986. He could easily put in filler that would slow down the album. Instead what we have is 5 pulse pounding tracks that are great in the car when you're speeding. - wesleymarcus
Digital, playable, rockable dance.
this sent me to a stanly kubrick room, with white walls and white fur. Slow motion and myserious. I want to be this music. It's really unlike anything ive heard, just unforgiving and non stop, you dont have time to catch up, so stay focused, and with it, before you know it, your heart is going as fast as the track, and you need a gasp of air to pull yourself in.
