Elana James is one of the youngest members ever inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame. She was a leading member of Hot Club of Cowtown, performed with Bob Dylan’s band in 2005, and opened for Dylan's 2006 summer tour. This solo collection includes powerful covers of Dylan’s “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight” and the Grateful Dead classic “Ripple,” to which she brings a lilting tenderness. She calls this album, recorded in Austin, a collection of "guilty pleasures” and original songs about longing—from the hushed bohemian tones of “Who Loves You More” to the gorgeous instrumental melody behind “Waltz of the Animals.”
