Revisiting the Glory Days of Teen Youth

The title ^ above says it all for me...it soars the wave of innocence in my eyes, mainly due to Carraba's voice. I downloaded Get Me Right and Belle...which are both pleasing tunes. I love this band for what they strive for. Wishing for them (much like myself) there's somewhere in the essence that never wants to grow old.

Dashboard Confessional's new CD, "Alter the Ending - Deluxe Edition" should satisfy die-hard and new D/C fans alike by including both full-band and acoustic versions of all of the tracks on this album. This decision allows you to appreciate the musical growth the band has made over the years.

The album has some great head-bumping, feet-tapping rock songs, including "I Know About You," "Get Me Right" and "Everybody Learns from Disaster." Singer-songwriter, Chris Carrabba, even shows off his knowledge of the neural system on the whip-smart "The Motions." "I Know About You," a song about a cheating ex, is the emo-band's answer to Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone." Seriously, it's that catchy.

The ballads on the album, notably the lead single, "Belle of the Boulevard" and "Hell on the Throat," are expertly crafted to build to an emotional climax by building on layers of instrumentation and vocals.

Awesome.

So This new albim by DC was epic. very strong lyrics a more mature Dashboard. I loved the acoustic versions better. But thats me i think in the acoustic versions its more raw more straight forward. But still an awesome album.

Singer/songwriter Christopher Carrabba became the poster boy for a new generation of emo fans in the early 2000s, having left behind his former band (the post-hardcore Christian outfit Further Seems Forever) to concentrate on vulnerable, introspective solo musings. Armed with an acoustic guitar and soul-baring...
