Truly a breakthrough
This album is professionally done and I see it as a breakthrough for rap e fars. The production is high quality, the elements and mixtures of different instruments in the songs are very persian, the lyrics are REAL and they will definitely make you feel the vibe no matter where u're from, long as u understand farsi. It's evident that hich kas is not just copying western rap but he's shaping up a totally new and interesting approach to rap (in general) through this album. I like EVERY song on this album, some songs had to grow on me, "dideh va del" or "barpa", but after 3-4 times hearing them, gettin used to the beat & the flow i like them a lot. Reveal's verse in zendan is sickkk! This album is a must-have for all fans of Persian Rap.
The Self-claimed Father of Persian Rap Shows his Genius
I've been a fan of Hich-kas since his song "vojdan" which I found on the internet. I beleive he's incredibly talented. My favorite song on this album, "asphalt jungle" is "Dideh Va Del" He has a way of bringing emotion and drama to his words and raps. Unlike some rappers, he represents himself as a very contradictory character. Well-educated, poetic, beautiful and harsh lyrics. He's definitely nationalistic as his song "Vatan parast" (nationalist) suggests. At the same time he's religious, but loves music, parties, dancing. These are just charactersitics I can read from his music and youtube videos. But I think he's more than just a rapper, he's an artist, an intellectual, "roshan-fekr". Maybe you are reading this and laughing, but listen to all his songs on this track and evaluate for yourself. In the words of Reading Rainbow, "Don't just take my word for it,..."
