Worthy
First off, if You get a chance to see him live, you won't regret it. The first time I had seen him play was at a coffee house near the very end of the night, he had just walked in and asked if there was time for him to do a song or two. I'm not easily impressed, but sat there spell bound, the song craft was beautiful, intimate, almost like you had known him you're whole life, and the songs were a retelling of a story you had both shared, and held dear. Man and a guitar, translating the human condition and yearning to be a continious state of grace. Trying to find that translation onto an album is difficult, if not impossible, but the production is very good, and hearing these songs with the nice arrangment of instruments is worthy. Hirams songs are like an oasis stopped in time, that one can revisit to replenish thier spirit, Highly recommend.
AMAZING
If you like chill music that is a mix of folksy, jazzy, bluesy styles, and sweet vocals that speak to your soul.. that you can relate to. I've been listening to it non-stop and at the same time I can't believe that I'm friends with Hiram and that its not a fan dreaming about meeting this out-of-reach MTV singer. Its just a good, home feeling. Great!
Awesome Album
Breathe Deep is an excellent album, folksy, jazzy, and tells a great story. I was at the release party and have had the songs running through my head for two weeks!
