Think Like a Man Too (Music from and Inspired by the Film)

While Mary J Blige has appeared on many soundtracks—including Who's the Man?, Waiting to Exhale, Belly, and Precious—this marks the first time she's done every single song on one. Released with surprisingly little publicity, Think Like a Man Too features 14 all-new songs, with only two guests: Pharrell on the synth-horn-heavy "See That Boy Again" and The-Dream for the namechecking dancefloor anthem "Vegas Nights." Things start on a high note with a spirited remake of Shalamar's "Night to Remember," and the rest of the album retains that upbeat/throwback vibe. There are a few ballads in the mix ("Propose" and "Self Love"), but it's mostly feel-good party jams, well produced by the likes of Tricky Stewart and Rodney Jerkins, among others. If you're a fan of the movie or a fan of Mary, this album is a must.
