Absolutely Exquisite!
I wish I could award this album more than 5 stars! The phrasing, the amazing technicality, the emotion -- they're all here in abundance! This is far and away the best version of Chopin's piano concertos I have ever heard. It brings tears to my eyes just listening to it. Jan Lisiecki (barely 15 years old when this was recorded) is a pianist par excellence. I understand he just signed a contract with Deutsche Grammophon and will be recording Mozart’s Piano Concertos no. 20, K. 466 and no. 21, K. 467. I can't wait!!
