Too Big World - EP

The Austin, Texas, trio of Lauren Larson, Eric Larson, and Aaron Perez have a natural power that’s guided by the dramatic-but-unpretentious vocals of Ms. Larson, who has her way with a song. Most notably here, she redefines Neil Young’s classic “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)” and Archers of Loaf’s “Web in Front,” illustrating her and the band’s musical range. Elsewhere are outtakes from the band’s recording sessions with producer Adam Kasper (Queens of the Stone Age, Cat Power). The EP's offhanded quality serves as an alternate storyline for a trio that toy with guitar pop, garage rock, and their own brand of fuzzy psychedelia.
