A musician nearing 70 doesn’t care what’s cool. In Robin Trower’s case, he is cool. His fingers still move over the fretboard with the same precision and skill as during his days in Procol Harum and as a seminal ‘70s solo performer with James Dewar. Saying "something’s changing here" isn’t quite accurate. In Trower’s case, change isn’t necessary: just his commitment to blues-based rock. And it’s all here, with drummer Chris Taggart and organist Luke Smith adding their creative touches to the guitar lines of one of rock’s premier Stratocaster stylists. The title track, “Dreams That Shone Like Diamonds,” and “’Til I Reach Home” are heartfelt Trower.
