Hot tracks, Cool Dancehall sounds
This was an unexpected album for me. I had not know that Delly Ranx and Sadiki were even a duo or that Sadiki even did dancehall music. I heard "Jamaican Queen" but didn't know that they were doing an album together. I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. Knowing Sadiki's Lifeline album as a full-out lover's rock album, it shocked me at how well he delivers upon dancehall tracks. I firmly believe that Sadiki is one of reggae's most talented (well Reggae AND NOW dancehall). Toppa Toppa on the Saudi Arabia riddim has been a favorite of mine since it released back in December (I think) - for those who don't know, it's the same riddim track as Buju banton's monsta chune "Things a Come Up". Delly definitely delivers here - not sure how many dancehall artists could rock an acoustic track like "Girlfriend". The production is crisp, harmonies and timing all in place. This will be a classic dancehall album.
