Redman’s sixth album is 23 tracks and more than 70 minutes long, but it flows like watching an often-comedic movie. Between the skits, Redman is as sharp as ever. Timbaland-produced “Put It Down” is relentless and propulsive, a string loop and fist-pumping chorus playing off each other. “Gilla House Check” sounds like a throwback with its hi-hats and orchestral swells, and Redman’s wave of punchlines. Rubbery “How U Like Dat” is a party jam, a funk bassline topped by handclaps to create a danceable ride.
