S.L.A.P.

Down with the Livewire team (as well as subgroups Da Heavy Hittaz and The Go Boyz), Shady Nate has been dropping new music at an alarming pace; he seems to drop a new mixtape or street album every other week. Like most of his previous work, S.L.A.P. plays almost like a compilation thanks to countless features from the usual suspects, including L'Jay, Beeda Weeda, Dbo, Jay Jonah, Yung Heem, Du Damage, J. Stalin, K12, Matt Blaque, Goapelle, and more. The 23 tracks here are mostly about hustling and doing dirt in the streets, with an emphasis on taking care of business ("Banga on My Waist," "Drama") or loving the ladies ("Grown N Sexy," "Fetish," "Lil Mama"). There’s no denying Nate's charisma and charm—not to mention the extremely catchy production that dominates the album. Already big in the Bay, he's just one hit song away from bicoastal props.
