Great Cover by Andrew Spencer & LAZARD

Yes, this song is a cover of Here Without You by 3 Doors Down. And its awesome!!! Well, most of the tracks here are awesome. There are a few that are somewhat lackluster. I first discovered this song through woed.fm. I suggest you check it out at www.woed.de (p.s. I got to be the first review ;)) Gino M. vs. Ray K. Club Mix-At first I didn't really like this one. I thought that the synth line was way too irregular. But after a while, I found myself humming it through the day. As I said, the synth line has a very irregular rhythm, but its one of the more melodic synth lines on this single. Nothing really strikes me as noteworthy from this mix, though. 4/5 2-4 Grooves Club Remix-This is one of my favorites. If you had to choose one of the electro mixes, make it this one. It starts off kinda annoying, cuz it repeats "I dream about you" for the first 40 seconds or so. After that, though, everything is great. This mix only uses the chorus, so It can seem a little repetitive, but I think the synth line more than makes up for that. Despite what the sample may lead you tobelieve. the synth line does change notes, but the sample will give you the jist of how the synth line goes. 5/5 Electro House Club Mix-I'm not much of an electro person, aside from 2-4 grooves and a few others. This remix uses a lot of the instrumentation from the Ballade Version, particularly the piano parts. I don't realy care for this one. Pretty much everything you hear in the sample is everything in the song. 3/5 Mondo Electro Club Mix- O_o holy crap... why anyone would want a song to sound like this is beyond me. I usually find myself skipping this one whenever it comes up. The major thing that turns me off to this is that ts sooo repetitive. This bareley even uses the chorus twice. most of it repeats the same few sounds over and over and over again. Again, pretty much all you hear in the sample is most of the song. 2/5 Verano Club Mix-My fave hands up mix on the single. It has the harshest sounding instrumentation of any of the mixes. What really gets me is the synth line. (actually, you can just listen for yourself in the sample) Unlike most of the other remixes, I liked this one right away. 5/5 Topmodelz-I have to say, I'm not really impressed with this one. True, I find most of Topmodelz's synth lines simple to begin with, but this one just doesn't do it for me. I've heard worse, though. Maybe its just that I like the Verano Remix so much more? There really isn't anything going against it. I like it, but it doesn't blow me away. 4/5 Alex M. vs. Marc Van Damme Club Remix-This is the first time I've ever heard anything significantly different between an extended version and a radio edit. after the 2nd chorus in the extended mix, it has a bass line thats absent in the radio edit (the one that you hear in the extended mix sample). In the radio edit, it repeats the synth line you hear in the radio edit sample both times. this is my second fave remix. Definitely get the extended mix instead of the radio edit. 5/5 Ballade Version-An entirely acoustic slow ballad version of the song. It has some really awesome violin lines in it. The most beautiful part is after the second chorus when all the instruments come in, like the timpani and I'm fairy certain that I hear french horns. 5/5 Must Buys: 2-4 Grooves RMX, Verano RMX, Ballade Version
