iTunes Session

iTunes Session

Phillip Phillips enters the studio for an intimate live session of tunes taken mostly from his debut album, The World from the Side of the Moon. Joined by longtime friend and guitarist Errol Cooney, Phillips shines in the stripped-down setting, giving songs like "Man on the Moon" and "Hold On" intimate, reflective resonance. After opening the session with the funky, guitar-driven single "Where We Came From" and a freewheeling version of his hit single "Home,” Phillips demonstrates his range on a disarmingly sincere, folk-rock rendition of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy." Phillips also offers a new song, "Take Me Away," which was not previously released on his debut studio album. The haunting lyrics and urgent acoustic guitar make it a riveting addition to the exclusive iTunes Session.
