Thug Misses

Thug Misses

Following in the grand sex-rap tradition pioneered by Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, and Trina, Khia is a Florida-based emcee who burst on the scene in 2002 with this, her debut album. Despite the low-budget cover art and generic Dirty South production, it became a legitimate hit—thanks mostly to the tremendously popular lead single "My Neck, My Back (Lick It)," an ode to oral gratification that remains a staple of strip clubs and bachelorette parties more than a decade later. Four more albums would follow, but none made much of an impact, relegating Khia to one-hit-wonder/"where are they now?" status. Even so, there are a few other jams in this mix; skip the devastatingly annoying skits and go straight to "F*ck Dem Other Hoes," "I Know You Want It," "The K-Wang," and the surprisingly sensitive dedication to her late mother, "You My Girl."
