Though 1995’s Solo Creep was intended as a showcase for Hitman (the lesser-known member of RBL Posse), the album is arguably the ultimate work from the group’s early years. Unfortunately, this marked the last appearance of RBL founding member Mr. Cee, who was shot nine times and killed on the first day of 1996. The album's central focus is bass: it flows through every song as a viscous, serpentine force. Songs like “Mack a Hoe” and “G’s and Jiggies” fuse the heavy funk of the group’s first album with the foreboding moods that followed in later years.
