The Adventures of DRANKenstein

The Adventures of DRANKenstein

Hailing from Houston's Sunnyside area but currently based in Atlanta, Short Dawg (also known as Tha Southern Flame Spitta and Elvis Freshly) has been grinding for several years now, dropping numerous mixtapes and navigating the industry via short-lived deals with both Russell Simmons' RSMG and Jermaine Dupri's SoSoDef. Now signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money label, Short Dawg seems poised to finally break through to the big time. On The Adventures of DRANKenstein, he breaks us off with 15 tracks of standard Southern rap fare. There are the usual assortment of riled-up anthems about stacking paper ("Where the Money At"), getting faded ("Kush & Codeine"), macking females ("I Wanna Luv U"), and repping for his hood ("H-Town"). Appropriately rowdy beats are handled by producers Timbaland, M-16, Jon Jon Traxx, and Mr. Lee, while guest features come from Birdman, Lil Keke, Z-Ro, and Mack Maine, among others.
