One of the most consistent MCs in the Bay Area hip-hop circuit, The Jacka has been cranking out intellectual thug jams since the late ’90s and his days with Mob Figaz. Since then he's dropped countless projects of all types — solo albums, mixtapes, and collabos — and is amongst the most respected independent MCs on the whole West Coast. We Mafia continues in his usual M.O.; grimy tales from the street, delivered in a mellow, world-weary flow, over understated production that seamlessly blends obscure samples, moody synths, and hard-knocking beats. There are a few features in the mix (Bo Strangla, Doll Face, Mitchy Slik, Lenox, Dojah, Big Hollis, and Lace Leno), but for the most part, Jacka is the star of his own show, shining on tracks like "Hard Times," "I Killed Him," "Snow Covered Hands," and "What's Happening World." Another solid release from one of Cali's finest.
