Saw them in DC and in NYC this past weekend...
and I cannot wait to see them again. Can't get enough of these guys. Clearly the reviewer above hasn't seen them live. I've been going to see live music since my first concert in 1982 (the Police Sychronicity Tour in Philly) and this band is most definitely in my top 5. The energy on stage and even in the audience is phenomenal. Call them whatever you want: indie, roots rock, etc... but whatever you do, make sure you turn off that ipod and get your butt out there to see them because nothing beats being there in mind, body and soul.
The Spirit
I love this record. between this, PT Walkley's "Mr Macy Wakes Alone" and the new Bon Iver, i am thrilled with the music of 2009 so far.
