Customer Reviews
Great Album - Very Unique. Liked the vocals
Its a great album I thouroughly enjoyed most of the songs, a few were just good solid tracks, and "What You Need" was just terrrible. Maybe that's just me. "Torture, Louder than Words", "String Theory", and the string counter melody of "Sunday" are my personal favorites.
A lot of people prefer the instrumental tracks, but since these were made after the vocal versions and not before, the instrumental versions often feel empty. For me the vocals add a lot of depth to the music. Honestly I think a lot of trailer music fans are predjudiced against vocals corrupting the purity of a good orchestral piece. However, if the vocal part was still there but sung by a female vocalist in some unintelligible or made up language as it often is in production music, I would bet that the same people would praise Les Friction for making such a powerful melody. That being said I do prefer the instumentals for certain tracks.
Highly recommend. Much better job at utilizing vocals and orchestra than previous attempts such as "Globus", thanks mainly to the talented vocalist. 4 stars is basically the highest rating I ever give out - I've only ever given one 5-star rating and that was "Illusions" by Thomas Bergersen.

It saddens me that this music gets absolutely no recognition. But at the same time, most people don't deserve to listen to it! Incredibly powerful stuff.
Great Instrumental Tracks
I wasn't crazy about the vocal versions of the tracks - but not because the artist can't sing (he is actually pretty talented). E.S. Posthumous is just such an amazing instrumental group that their music doesn't need vocals. Vocals ruin their stuff (felt the same way about the Cartographer disc). I bought 7 of the 9 instrumentals (saving $3 over buying the entire cd) and I know I'll love them. These guys make amazing music. 4 stars only because you didn't need the vocalist.
