Reseda Beach

Reseda Beach

An L.A. group closely affiliated with The Demigodz and Mike Shinoda's Linkin Park spinoff project Fort Minor, Styles of Beyond have been making moves since the mid-'90s, when they used to appear on The Wake Up Show. Their first album, 2000 Fold, hit the scene in 1998, followed by Megadef and Razor Tag in '03 and '07, respectively. In recent years, they've branched out to work on solo projects and new groups like Get Busy Committee and Ribkat. Due to label issues, Reseda Beach sat in limbo for a while, and it finally sees an official release here. Slickly produced and undeniably catchy, it's rumored to be their last group album—but if that's the case, they're going out with a bang. Tracks like "Howdy Doody," "Damn," "Call My Name," and "Here We Go" could easily find radio success, with ear-tickling funkiness that belies their take-no-prisoners wordplay.
