Hüsker Dü was both a brutal punk band and a group devoted to pop music and rock history. This EP compiles two key singles in its catalog. The live version of Zen Arcade's "Masochism World" is muddy and violent, a bootleg-quality recording that reflects the era's lo-fi constraints. "Makes No Sense at All" was the single pulled from 1985's Flip Your Wig, while a cover of Sonny Curtis' "Love Is All Around"—the Mary Tyler Moore theme—is a nod to the group's Minneapolis roots and its abilities to rock out a transcendent tune.
