On Ilyich (the title is also his government name), he does what he does best, delivering exceptional lyricism and thoughtful wordplay over lush, highly musical production from Bean One and A-Plus, among others. Released on his own label, Solidarity Records, it features longtime homies like San Quinn, Z-Man, Spank Pops, and Sunspot Jonz. Standout tracks include "The Greatest (Feelin')," "Heart & Soul," "When I Die," and the Compton's Most Wanted remake "Rhymes 2 Funky" with Sick YG. Another quality release from one of Cali's best.
