Pablito's Way (Bonus Tracks)

Coming out of the Bay Area, Motion Man got his start on the legendary Wake Up Show program, and dropped his first solo single in 1993. Known for his freewheeling, unpredictable rhyme style, multiple vocal tricks, and hyperactive lyricism, he has appeared on countless records, working extensively with Kool Keith, as well as fellow Cali veterans Too Short, Del, and E-40. Originally released in 2006, Pablito's Way is his second solo album, produced entirely by longtime associate KutMasta Kurt. Mixing bugged-out humor with justifiable bravado, Motion goes off about his dedication to hip-hop ("Down for the Fight"), domestic beer appreciation ("I Crack Tall Ones" featuring Mistah FAB), and female anatomy lessons ("Dat A*s"). Kurt's beats set the stage perfectly, with an array of punchy drums and freaky samples certain to put your neck to work. Underground but never nerdy, catchy without being corny, Pablito's Way is a truly dope record from an under-appreciated talent.
