School for the Blindman

School for the Blindman

Hailing from Grand Rapids, Mich., Bronze Nazareth is part of the latter-era Wu-Tang Clan affiliates; he’s been collaborating with the group since shortly after the millennium. A producer and rapper, he contributed most of the beats to 2005's Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture and was also featured on RZA's Birth of a Prince, as well as 60 Second Assassin's Remarkable Timing. On School for the Blindman, he connects with guests like Raekwon and Canibus ("The Bronzeman 2"), RZA ("Fresh from the Morgue"), and La the Darkman ("Fire Implanters"), among others. Stylistically, grimy rhymes, rugged drums, and nicely chopped soul samples dominate. While it’s not on par with the first generation of classic Wu releases (though really, what is?), it's still a rock-solid release and will surely be enjoyed by hardcore WTC fans. Other standouts include "King of Queens," "Records We Used to Play," and the numerous instrumental interludes.
