Zero

Zero

Thirty-seven years after their classic album Can’t Stand the Rezillos, from 1978, three of the original band members assembled the follow-up album, the brutally fun Zero. Vocalists Eugene Reynolds and Faye Fife and drummer Angel Paterson remain, with guitarist Jim Brady and bassist Chris Agnew filling out the ranks. (Original guitarist and main songwriter Jo Callis went his own way with The Human League and cowrote “Don’t You Want Me.") Here, this Scottish punk group rock hard and convincingly throughout Zero. “Tiny Boy from Outer Space,” “You’re So Deep,” “Animal,” and “She’s the Bad One” continue their apolitical, delightfully weird approach.
