Feel Something

The shoegaze genre didn't catch on much in the U.S. beyond the ever-expanding cult of My Bloody Valentine. Indie musicians, however, often revisit the fuzzy sounds of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s with a determination to take its mystical elements and turn it back into pop music. With the charming guileless vocals of Stephanie Min guiding these adventurous tracks, this London-based quintet could break in a big way. “Jamais Vu” throws a touch of B-52's-type manic energy, while “Tame,” “Ordinary Boy,” and “Snowball” spread the confectionary hooks. “Special Girl” pumps up a muscular rock ’n’ roll vibe, with new bassist Joanna Curwood locking into place.
