Album Review
There's something very '70s about this record — "Sacramento" almost sounds like it could have fallen off an old Jackson Browne album, and the slower tunes that start Storyhill have a clarity that's quite retro. That's not necessarily a criticism, but the duo show the most individuality on the faster material like "Blazing Out of Sight." The harmonies between the pair work spectacularly, and "Ballad of Joe Snowboard" stands out for its construction — quite different from the rest of the disc, restless and shifting — and quite refreshing. But some of the gentle songs have an airy grace, too, like "For a Song," which barely seems to breathe as it moves, culminating in some George Harrison style slide guitar. However, the closer, "Room in My Heart," while lovingly performed, is somewhat of a simplistic ending to an album that develops nicely, growing in stature as it progresses. All in all, this marks a welcome, assured return for Storyhill.

Great Red House Debut!
Chris Cunningham and John Hermanson have been making wonderful music since the late 80s and I am so glad that they signed with Red House so that more people will be exposed to them. This is a solid album top to bottom with my favorite tracks being "Ballad of Joe Snowboard," "Highlight," "Fallen," and "Sacramento." Give these likable guys a listen!
Storyhill is so talented and the new album is great
This is one of my favorite albums ever! Over the months I have had 6 different favorite songs off this record. Each time I listen to it I get something new out of it. I love Storyhill!
Awesome
These guys are amazing. Prior to signing with RedHouse, they recorded several live shows/albums. I'm always a fan of live records since it truly showcases ones skill; however this is probably their best album ever. Front to back, every song is well written, sung, and played. The vocals, guitar, and meaning of each shine through and I highly recommend this to everybody. And go see them in concert - super nice guys whom I guarantee you will be impressed by!
