Salsa history was made in the early ‘80s, when suave-voiced Ray de la Paz and vibraphone maestro Louie Ramirez teamed up for a pair of albums. This second one, also in the salsa romantica tradition, is packed with ballads-with-a-beat—music for flirting on the dance floor. The vocal on "Suddenly" (the sole English-language track) is every bit as seductive as Billy Ocean's original, with added kick from the congas and horns. And the steamy groove on the title track makes for a hot night indeed.
