Wolfpack Party

Wolfpack Party

After the tremendous success of their breakout single "Vans" teenaged Bay Area rap crew the Pack (Stunnaman, Lil B, Young L, and Uno) dropped their debut album Based Boys in 2007 flaunting their minimalist, old school-influenced style for the world. Three years later they return with the follow-up, continuing their approach of super bass-heavy 808-propelled beats layered with catchy synth lines and straight-forward raps primarily concerned with partying ("Wolfpack Party"), getting paid ("Drunk Off Money"), and macking the ladies ("Sex On The Beach"). If you're looking for sensitive musings or socio-political commentary, this is clearly not for you, but if you're in the mood for rambunctious rhymes, adolescent lyricism, and kidney-rattling low-end straight out of the '80s, the Pack have got it locked. With all the drama and bad vibes in the world today, sometimes you just need to shut off your brain and go dumb, and for that, Wolfpack Party is perfect. Local heroes Mistah F.A.B. and Husulah also appear, on "Booty Bounce" and "Bend That Corner" respectively.
