Album Review
Taking his cues from other forward-thinking electronica/hip-hop acts, namely DJ Shadow and RJD2, Wax Tailor (aka French sonic collage artist JC Le Saout) makes a striking impression on his 2006 full-length debut, Tales of the Forgotten Melodies. Although Le Saout is mining well-worn territory, his heavy use of samples and his knack for establishing a highly cinematic atmosphere set him apart from the pack, as revealed on his cut-up, movie dialogue-laden version of "Que Sera" and the dreamy "How I Feel," which weaves in the unmistakable voice of Nina Simone.

stunning
French trip-hop flawlessly woven together into a single audio experience by interesting narrative, movie track sampling. For all you ADD DJ's, resist the impulse to skip around tracks or cut them short, listen to the entire album in order. It will be worth it!
Cleverly crafted
Indeed, buy the whole thing. This album flows as a story unfolds with smooth transitions. Great skills behind the samples and beats. Very creative work borrowing from a variety of sources. Very eclectic. All around mad skills from the French DJ. Wax Taylor, tu cartonnes! Cet album est mortel, l'autre aussi d'ailleurs mais je kif celui-ci.
awesome
great album, very creative, good mix of a lot of different types of music. that being said has anyone noticed that "How I Feel" has the same lyrics as "feeling good" by muse, michael buble also made a version of the song, i do prefer Wax Tailor's version the most though.
