Songs to remember our decade by
She has - to start things off - a lovely voice. The voice of a girl you'd wish for your girlfriend, if you have a heart and it hasn't suffered too much damage yet. The songs are wise, witty, funny and sad - just like life. Profound, tragic and quotidian, but refreshed by a perspective that speaks to our generation. "Running Unsteady" is an underrated contender for song of the decade - a perfect song in any context -in the car, in a sunny room, through and ipod on the street, it lifts you with every phrase wherever you may be. "Unknowing" is the best statement of women's freedom yet done - liberating without being disdainful. And "When You're Gone" is the song we all want to have running through our heads when we are unwarrantedly alone. Alison knows our struggles and joys and expresses them better than any famous haircut infecting the pop chart. Buy this record if you care about good new music.

A friend in Chicago gave me a few tracks of this disc and I was hooked. It's honest, filled with soul, and original. I listen to it daily.
MY COUSIN IS AWESOME!!!
If you like some mellow, harmonious, relaxing music, this is it. If I am having a bad day, I just play this CD and I feel quite relaxed and calm afterward. Alison Breitman is an excellent singer and plays the acoustic guitar beautifully!
