Fink Meets the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra

Fink Meets the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra

In something of a culmination for Fink, he was invited to perform a concert of his material with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, with the incredibly in-demand composer/orchestrator Jules Buckley as the hand behind the new arrangements. It adds another dimension to a representative swath of Fink's catalog; the rhythmic bent of his sound is accented by the orchestra's ebb and flow, coaxing new emotional depth and melodic ideas from his familiar neo-blues foundation. Fink's musicianship is more nuanced in this environment. Where many artists could get buried in collaboration with an entire orchestra, his presence is confident and centered without being domineering—testament to the work he's done on his way to the concert hall.
