Live At Shepherd's Bush

Live At Shepherd's Bush

Stephen Stills’ extensive recording career is given a live retrospective from the man himself with this October 2008 concert at Shepherd’s Bush. Opening with acoustic tunes, including a touching take on Bob Dylan’s “Girl from the North Country” and a primarily solo vocal version of the Crosby, Stills & Nash classic “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” Stills displays his instrumental prowess with a voice that’s beautifully weathered the years. He plays several other high-demand hits, “For What It’s Worth” from his Buffalo Springfield days and his huge solo hit, “Love the One You’re With,” but the treasures are in the deep catalog with Buffalo Springfield’s “Bluebird” and “Rock & Roll Woman,” Manassas’ “Isn’t It About Time?” and “Johnny’s Garden,” his solo tune, “Change Partners,” and a cover of Tom Petty’s “Wrong Thing to Do.” The electric band is solid and leaves room for Stills to solo on the extended workouts of “Rock & Roll Woman” and “For What It’s Worth.” All lights are on Stephen.
