Bucktown soldiers down with the legendary Boot Camp Clik. Heltah Skeltah (Ruck and Rock) first emerged in the mid-‘90s, guesting on Smif-N-Wessun's Dah Shinin'. Shortly after, they linked up with O.G.C. to form the short-lived supergroup Fab Five, dropping the timeless single "Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka." In '96 they released their debut album Nocturnal and scored another hit with "Therapy." The less impressive Magnum Force followed two years later, and then they split up. Rock left Duck Down in search of a better deal, while Ruck reinvented himself as Sean Price and became a much-jocked underground icon. Now, after ten years apart, they join forces once again on D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team), serving up 14 tracks overflowing with rowdy beat work and thugged out punchlines. Not every song is a winner, but some of them -- "Everything Is Heltah Skeltah," "Insane," "Hellz Kitchen," and "W.M.D." -- are undeniably raw.
