After six years away, progressive house pioneers Jody Wisternoff and Nick Warren return with Tuesday Maybe, a feast of melodic dance music. With smokey synths, stretched-out basslines, and squelchy rhythmic textures, the pair don’t stray too far from their Bristol rave roots. But they do make more room for vocal melodies, tapping London’s Eli & Fur for the seductive “Running Away” and Hendrik Burkhard for “We Move in the Dark.” The result is an album of trance-tent tracks that are intimate enough to transition into the after-hours.
