Even as they embarked upon their third decade as a band, this Arizona crew refused to let aging get in the way of raging. “I’ll be the first one in the pit and the last one out,” frontman Jason DeVore declares on Broadcasting to the Nations’ fountain-of-youth-guzzling opener, which shows Authority Zero’s howitzer hardcore stomps and alt-metal muscle in fine, furious form. But the album is a show of both force and finesse, with “Summer Sickness” betraying their fondness for dubwise, ska-sweetened pop.
