Everything's Berri

Everything's Berri

A legendary New York MC revered by fans of hip-hop’s golden era, Andre the Giant has been demolishing microphones and lyrically scolding suckers since the late '80s/early '90s. Known primarily for his work with partner Showbiz and the rest of the Diggin In the Crates crew, he's also dropped several choice solo albums as well as collaborative projects with an assortment of other artists. Hot on the heels of the excellent Oasis project with O.C., he returns with Everything's Berri, produced exclusively by upcoming beatmaker Ray West. As always, A.G. unleashes a torrent of well-constructed wordplay, alternating between felonious street observations, thought-provoking social commentary, and bold bravado, while West's loop-heavy production is on-target throughout, loaded with elastic bass-lines, hard-knocking drums, low-key funk, and lush instrumentation galore. Neo-classic Bronx boom-bap from one of the game's most consistent mic touchers, and another big win for the Giant. Peep the contemplative flute joint "Xenobia," bass-heavy single "Infected," "Party Hard, Hustle Harder" (featuring fallen soldier Party Arty) and the ultra-smooth modern love story "Tweet Heart."
