Zone Out Season 2

Zone Out Season 2

Known primarily for his multitude of mix-tapes (over a dozen in just five years) and assorted beefs with obscure never-was rappers, Harlem representative Jae Millz has steadily been churning out tracks over the second half of the 2000s. Affiliated with Young Money Entertainment, he's worked extensively with Lil' Wayne and had major label backing, but has yet to really breakthrough as a solo star in his own right. Zone Out Season 2 is his fourth official album, featuring 21 jams that alternate between bold bravado, grown-n-sexy love jams, exclamations of uptown pride, and punchline-infused trash talking. The production is all over the place, bouncing between generic Dirty South strip club steez to more traditional NYC soul-sample joints. There's some great stuff on here, most notably "First Class," "Ego," "Computer Thug," and "Letter To Big L."
