Not the Easiest Game to Play!
When I saw Roulette on the description, I didn't even bother reading anymore after that. I rushed and clicked the BUY button.
What I am finding is that it's not easy to place the chips where you want them to be. I'd give it a 1 or 2 stars, but it would be unfair. It was still kinda fun... but not really easy to maneuver around to play the games. Even though it can get frustrating, it's not so bad that I'd delete the game. I am sure they're fixing the bugs... I'll wait for the update.
Good idea, horrible execution.....
I had great expectations for this app since I had been waiting for a Roulette and Craps game I bought it immediatly.
First the Roulette, something is wrong; I won a couple of times but my money increased way more than I was winning. Secondly the bets are extremly hard to place, it took me 10 trys to get my bet directly on #30. Third, it doesn't have double 0.
Craps was even worse, after about 5 minutes of playing it wouldn't roll the dice unless I left that game and went back (not exit the app, just that game) The payouts are not only wrong but you can't tell if you placed odds on your bet or if you placed a bet on a number? You don't know until a 7 is rolled that it was the wrong bet. Not only are the payouts wrong but how could I go from $500 to $16,000 in 5 minutes with $20 bets in real world gambling?
Then there is the slot machines, why is there one that you manually move the reels until you win? Has the developer ever been to a Casino?
Apple, this is why we need at least a 30 minute demo before purchasing an app. This is crapware and I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it unless there is a major update. Refund!
A BIT BETTER AFTER UPDATE 1.02 - STILL SOME WORK TO DO
While I have been waiting for a Roulette app AND craps, I came accross this right when it came out just after midnight. No reviews up so I took a chance.
Not only am I having the same issues as the reviewers, but I have another issue with roulette.
The wheel. When you spin the wheel, it not only spins for about 2 seconds, but the ball stops fast and jumps backward into a spot. Not only is the animation WAY off, but the whole experience of the wheel is way off.
Also, ALL GAMES have a really cheap feel to them.
I currently own 2 BlackJack apps that DESTROY the BlackJack game in this collection.
I saw Chillingo going into the crapper with those stupid 'Pirate name' and 'Cowboy name' apps with the dumb looking actors, but this game really wasn't ready to go, much more development, thought, and research was needed.
Looks like I am back waiting for another Roulette and Craps game.....as well as wondering if I can afford to buy an app again without some sort of demo or video.
************UPDATE**************
After update 1.02, I bumped the rating up to 3 stars (from 2)
The Roullete has gotten a little bit better. You now have more control over laying your chips down, as you are zoomed in more.
The animation of the ball still stinks, and I would be willing to bet that won't change.
BlackJack has visually been improved as well, and it's no doubt better.
Craps Looks a little bit better as well, but I was hoping for more there.
3 stars, app is looking a lot better. Good job!
