Very limited, slow and buggy
Function is very limited - it's not really a "Nav" tool, just an tool picker. Can't use it for menu shortcuts, actions, history or even the Navigator window (you'd think for an app called "Nav" at least that would work). When they say you can use it to zoom, they just mean you can see the open images in different sizes *on the ipad*, not on your computer. Has a good bit of lag, so it's much faster to just use the mouse to select tools or images right on the computer. Sometimes just shows a blank screen instead of the tool selections or open images. A nice concept, but useless in practice without some major updates.
I want to love .... But
I love the idea behind this software but its super unstable in its current form. Feels more like a beta version. Its a little slow but the real problem is when using this app, CS5 becomes very unstable and crashes all the time on my 5 month old Macbook Pro.
That pretty much makes this app a proof of concept, but nothing you could actually use.
Its too bad. I hope Adobe is reading these reviews.
What they HAVE is great...
For starters this is a well done app, it is customizable and it does bring some added function to photoshop.
I do feel however that the app missed some basic things that would really increase its functionality (maybe something we will see in an update). For instance: when selecting the brush you do NOT have the option to change brush size like on a cintiq or with the bracket keys, additionally you can't operate other dialog boxes like choosing a specific brush or navigator. This will not replace your shortcuts, but when it comes to your actions and having them available with a simple touch; it may make the purchase worth it for many PS users.
This app can definitely improve on itself but Adobe has done a great job adding key components from photoshop to the iPad.
