I used the app to schedule service and didn't have to call
Useless. Not of BMW standards
There is nothing in the app that is a value add and can't be done on the website. The web interface is a lot friendlier for that matter.
For service, apart from the appointment details and name of advisor there's nothing in there. Rest of the features in the app act as a
advertising platform and nothing else.
